练习你的听力
📖 逐句对照翻译
Hello!
你好!
This week on Ask a Teacher, we answer a question from Zekeriya in Turkiye about listening to English.
本周的《问老师》节目中,我们回答土耳其的泽克里亚关于听英语的问题。
Question
问题
Dear teacher,
亲爱的老师,
When I practice listening, I focus a lot and do a lot of repetitions.
当我练习听力时,我会非常专注,并做大量的重复练习。
After a while, I realized that I was actually memorizing the audio recording instead of practicing listening.
过了一段时间,我意识到自己实际上是在背记录音,而不是在练习听力。
How do you think I should do an ideal listening exercise?
你认为我应该如何做理想的听力练习?
Thank you,
谢谢,
Zekeriya

Answer
回答
I’m happy to answer this question, Zekeriya.
我很乐意回答这个问题,Zekeriya。
There is not one ideal listening exercise.
没有一种理想的听力练习。
Instead, there are several good ways to improve your listening.
相反,有几种提高听力的好方法。
The repetitions you are doing can be necessary and helpful for you to understand what you hear.
你所做的重复练习可能是必要的,有助于你理解所听到的内容。
And repetitions likely help you remember new words and how to pronounce them.
重复练习很可能有助于你记住新单词及其发音。
But let’s look at more ways you can practice listening.
但让我们看看更多练习听力的方法。
Listening methods
听力方法
First, try to find listening material that is just a bit above your ability.
首先,尝试寻找略高于你能力的听力材料。
This will help you learn new words without making it too difficult for you.
这将帮助你在不至于太难的情况下学习新单词。
It is best to listen to English material that has words written either in captions or in the body text, such as a VOA Learning English article.
最好听那些单词要么写在字幕里、要么写在正文中的英语材料,比如VOA慢速英语的文章。
This will help check your listening.
这将有助于检查你的听力。
Transcribing
转录
One of the best ways to practice listening is by writing every word you hear.
练习听力的最佳方法之一就是把听到的每个词都写下来。
This is called transcribing.
这被称为转录。
Even with audio examples as short as one minute, you can learn a lot of English using this method.
即使音频示例只有一分钟这么短,你也可以用这种方法学到很多英语。
For example, if you are transcribing an interview, you might notice differences between spoken English and written English.
例如,如果你正在转写采访内容,你可能会注意到口语英语和书面英语之间的差异。
By transcribing, you can notice and learn new expressions, grammar rules and spelling.
通过转录,你可以注意到并学习新的表达方式、语法规则和拼写。
This method also helps make new words stay in your memory when you read them.
这种方法还能帮助你在阅读时让新单词留在记忆中。
That is because you are discovering the answer to a problem you have already tried to solve through listening.
那是因为你正在发现一个你早已试图通过倾听来解决的问题的答案。
Other tips
其他提示
Try listening to English spoken at different speeds.
试着听不同语速的英语。
Over time, you can follow spoken English at a faster speed.
随着时间的推移,你能以更快的速度听懂英语口语。
Many videos online let you increase or decrease the speed of playback.
网上的许多视频允许你加快或减慢播放速度。
Practice listening to English spoken in different foreign accents.
练习听带有不同外国口音的英语。
This is a useful skill because English is spoken in so many places around the world.
这是一项有用的技能,因为世界上有那么多地方说英语。
Center your listening on specific sounds or grammatical points.
将听力重点集中在特定的语音或语法点上。
For example, preposition use in English can be difficult.
例如,英语中介词的使用可能很困难。
Try listening for prepositions and the words they connect with.
试着留意介词以及它们所连接的词。
This can help you use them correctly in your speaking and writing.
这可以帮助你在口语和写作中正确使用它们。
Remember that, like any skill, you can improve listening by practicing often and having detailed plans for the methods you will use.
记住,和任何技能一样,你可以通过经常练习以及为将要使用的方法制定详细计划来提高听力。
